Giving birth at Hospital Costa del Sol

We recently had our second child, a gorgeous baby boy. As with our daughter we had the birth at the Costa del Sol hospital. Deciding where to have your baby can be realy difficult, you tend to hear good and bad stories about all the hospitals here on the Costa del Sol. One of the factors that led us to the Costa del Sol hospital is that if anything ever goes wrong, or the baby is ill, then it seems that wherever you have the baby, you end up at the Costa del Sol Hospital as they have the best facilities to care for the baby. Some of the private hospitals, such as Hospiten or USP also seem to have a reputation for higher rates of cesarian sections. This may be because doctors tend to be more involved in the births at these private hospitals, whereas the Costa del Sol hospital uses midwives to deliver babies.
Anyway, with both our children we were happy with the service - it's not like the UK with the patient care and it can feel like you have to drag any information out of the nurses, but the actual medical treatment is great.

Estepona market

We went to Estepona market yesterday to have a look around and buy some fruit and vegetables. The market is located at the far end of Estepona, near to Estepona Poligono. There's all the usual stalls there, I think many of the same ones do all the markets on the coast. The fruit and veg was really good, big trays of strawberries and cherries, much cheaper than Mercadona. It was really busy yesterday, and hot! It seems that as soon as June arrived the temperature has gone up a few extra degrees!
